February 16, 2016 by Sally Moore

AngerHypnotherapy to eliminate anger successfully. Struggling with anger?

People commonly undergo an array of feelings throughout the course of each day, and for most people they should be able to control their feelings and keep things at bay. However, for some people, controlling their wrath can be quite difficult, causing great difficulties in their life for themselves and people close to them. Anxiety, stress and in some cases depression are recognised to be linked with uncontrolled temper but there are effective ways of dealing with them.

When a person gets angry, they will normally find their pulse rate increases along with blood pressure levels as chemicals in the bloodstream such as adrenalin are pumped around the body.

Could hypnotherapy work for me?

January 25, 2016 by Sally Moore

hypnotherapyHypnotherapy – Is it effective?

When some people think of hypnosis, visions of swinging pocket watches may be the first thing they think of, along with the words ‘you feel tired… very sleepy’. Or maybe they remember seeing stage hypnosis shows where members of the crowd are made to act stupidly. January 24, 2016 by Sally Moore

public speakingHypnotherapy for presenting and public speaking.

So you’ve been told you’ve got to do a speech in your upcoming team meeting. You normally feel quite uneasy about this sort of thing, but you keep persuading yourself that it’ll be alright. But as the meeting comes closer, you realise that it won’t be okay and you are sorry for saying that you’d participate. Just visualising yourself speaking when in front of a room full of men and women makes your heart pound.

Does some of that sound like you?

Well, you are in good company. Anywhere up to 10 percent of British people suffer from social anxiety; this means; approximately 6.3 million people know the way you truly feel.

Public speaking anxieties and how they influence us.

Nervous about speaking in public can make life extremely difficult and can have a significant effect on a person’s life; from quitting college or not being able to come across favourably in job interviews, to evading promotion at the office if the new role demands making sales pitches.

Some prevalent symptoms include:

Elevated heart rate

Sweating or hot flushes

Blushing

Vomiting or stomach problems

Mind blanks

Stuttering or stammering

Restlessness

Insomnia in the lead up to a speaking occasion

Presentation nerves can stem back to early feelings of shame or embarrassment from our childhood. Even if we don’t remember them, these incidents are located in the subconscious and form the conscious thinking we have about ourselves, such as ‘I can’t speak while in front of a group because I’ll wind up saying something stupid’.

A hypnotherapist can help to change these deep-rooted beliefs by using beneficial suggestion to replace the old, negative mind-set whilst the person is in a deeply relaxed state. In addition to helping the customer feel more confident with speaking in public, through freeing the customer of some of their negative self-beliefs the hypnotherapist can also support them in experiencing improvements in countless other parts of their lives.

With hypnosis, social anxiety is pretty easy to address.

After only a few sessions, many clients start to experience a significant improvement in the way they respond to social settings and situations.
