February 16, 2016 by Sally Moore

AngerHypnotherapy to eliminate anger successfully. Struggling with anger?

People commonly undergo an array of feelings throughout the course of each day, and for most people they should be able to control their feelings and keep things at bay. However, for some people, controlling their wrath can be quite difficult, causing great difficulties in their life for themselves and people close to them. hypnotherapyHypnotherapy – Is it effective?

When some people think of hypnosis, visions of swinging pocket watches may be the first thing they think of, along with the words ‘you feel tired… very sleepy’. Post traumatic stress disorderHow might Post Traumatic Stress Disorder be dealt with effectively.

Most of us have experienced stress at some point and quite a few people genuinely feel stressed regularly. This issue is in many cases diagnosed as PTSD; the effects can be both physical and psychological in nature and would normally have a substantial impact on their everyday life.

The foundations for PTSD can be laid in numerous ways, for instance, by witnessing a horrific accident, being assaulted or being affected by a natural disaster. Memories of disturbing occurrences can badly affect people, specifically those serving in the army. Left untreated, the symptoms of PTSD can have a long lasting effect on daily life.

Due to the way it has been portrayed over the years, many people wonder if hypnotherapy treatments actually work. But recent research has shown that a hypnotic approach brings about noticeable changes in the brain and so we now have data which confirms that it does stimulate a different response.

Stanford University has completed research with volunteers who were hypnotised and told they were observing coloured objects. When they were studying the objects, there was an increase in blood flow to the area of the brain that registers colour, even though in reality the objects were monochrome. This shows that hypnosis can modify perceptions. A hypnotherapist can use this system to change unwanted behaviour and bring about constructive changes
