How hypnotherapy can help you to achieve goals

January 19, 2016 by Sally Moore

achieve goalHow hypnosis can help you to achieve your goals.

It is good to have goals to work towards in life, but with so many pressures on our work and home life, it is usually hard to achieve your goals as other pursuits can get in the way, or maybe you lack motivation and perseverance.

Most of us know that staying focused on our goals is tough to do; it doesn’t matter if it’s achieving a promotion at work, staying in shape or saving for a brand new car; the path is always paved with good intentions. There are often family or other commitments that get in the way and seem to block us every step of the way. This is usually frustrating and gradually de-motivate us due to the fact we can’t realise those goals.

Surprisingly, the inability to achieve those goals might have other implications. You can actually feel less self-assured and anxious about your capacity to achieve anything. Accordingly, this can stop you from progressing in your occupation or home life as you hold back from trying to reach towards anything.

Binge Drinking – the subject of our times

January 12, 2016 by Sally Moore

binge drinkingThe phrase binge drinking is frequently in the headlines.

If you have not heard the phrase ‘binge drinking’ you must be living on another world as it is so often in the news. Most of us have on some occasions found ourselves dancing the night away having imbibed one (or six) too many Mojitos.

We live in a very stressful world, and each and every day our lives get busier, the need for escapism grows stronger. It is no surprise we turn to alcohol: visit a town centre on a Saturday or Sunday and everyone is out letting off steam, enjoying themselves. Competition between bars is fierce, and offers on drinks are getting increasingly competitive every week. A lot of people don’t see it as an issue, after all it’s just a good night out right?

relationshipThe Top 5 Ways Your Relationships May Be Helped With Hypnotherapy.

We all endure relationship difficulties every once in a while, and often either end up prolonging the issues or sadly splitting up. Our relationships often go through some ups and downs; sometimes we’re very happy and at other times we might actually feel alone and isolated, or every now and then just miserable. Poor communication is often the main culprit in relationship problems.

With kids, the office and social engagements, every now and then we take our partners for granted and the communication falters. Perhaps you are simply too busy, and there are other more crucial things you have to contend with, that leave you exhausted at the end of the day.

Getting back to Natural Childbirth

November 19, 2015 by Sally Moore

child birthGoing Back to a Natural Childbirth

While the idea of a natural childbirth is very appealing to pregnant mums it is often the thought of pain that prevents it actually occurring. Even though all women believe that some level of pain is a part of childbirth occasionally a wave of intense pain whilst in labour can undo all the preparation the woman has made.

Pregnant women will generally have deep rooted fears concerning the pain during labour. It could be that the pain sensation is of such intensity that it simply keeps her from being focused on the actions of childbirth and upsetting her ability to stop worrying and focus.

Pain is certainly a subjective experience, and each person has their own tolerance and attitude towards it. The psychological, physical and mental strain of childbirth can be so overwhelming that it prevents the mother from relaxing. As the tension, pain and stress increase so does the level of anxiety.

Anxiety increases the intensity of the birth experience, making it a whole lot more uncomfortable and terrifying. The natural childbirth experience can then be a vicious cycle of what seems to be endless pain and worry so it is no wonder that woman experiencing this are unable to pay attention on the proper respiration, relaxation and pushing techniques that are the building blocks for natural childbirth.

A woman who is unable to relax and focus is likely to have an extremely hard time managing pain.
